Rejection hurts

I had noticed bit and pieces bouncing around about Apple’s rejection of NIN’s app, but hadn’t actually looks at the details. Apple’s stance  does seem pedantic and hypocritical to say the least. Trent’s certainly not happy:

“You can buy The Downward Fucking Spiral on iTunes, but you can’t allow an iPhone app that may have a song with a bad word somewhere in it. (…) Come on Apple, think your policies through and for fuck’s sake get your app approval scenario together.”

Seems for all their design and marketing skills, Apple may have also inherited their CEO’s people skills. Managing a large community is no easy task, and at this point seems to be the largest chink in their armour for a competitor to exploit (Palm I’m looking at you).
